Sat 3-Oct-90: Update /pc/pd2/ps44.zip of Patri-Soft shareware text finder. This is a good one, but not without bugs. Textsearches for ascii below 32 and beyond 127 tend to cause crashes. And it does not take properly into account the need of searching for text with diacritical characters, which are needed in Scandinavia. Speaking of bugs in otherwise excellent programs reminds me of the fairly recent update /pc/pd2/infop135.zip of the system information (with sources) package. It works excellently for many machines, but still crashes on some (my Zenith Z-181 laptop included). The wares are available by anonymous ftp from chyde.uwasa.fi, Vaasa, Finland, 128.214.12.3, or by using our mail server (use the latter if, and only if you don't have anonymous ftp). If you are not familiar with anonymous ftp or mail servers, I am prepared send prerecorded instructions on request. PLEASE NOTE: If you don't get the instructions from me within a few days, it will mean that your email address cannot be reached by a simple email reply, and you wouldn't be able to utilize the mail server anyway. ...................................................................
