These day whenever i use hard-drive. it will give me error message "error
writing FAT area". so i can copy any thing or run some of my programs. Is
any one can tell me what's wrong and how should i deal with the problem.

Is > Well, it sounds bad. Your HD may be going south. But, you may try using a program like SpinRite or Disk Technician to do a non-destructive low-level format. It may be able to lock out the bad areas and relocate the FAT to a better area. Greg Mendizabal
