I don't think an old (and really rather boring) Ford driving simulator with
built-in ads for the 1987 range really constitutes unacceptable advertising.
If you do, then delete your copy.
Bill did make a small technical mistake on this though (another proof that
nobody's perfect) - the file fordsim.exe is a self-extracting archive for
all the program and data files, so there was no need to include any other
files in the posting - it would then have been much shorter. If you think
the package worth keeping, you can drop the zoo file as everything is
included in fordsim.exe.

You won't believe this, but back on 02/Nov/90 (was a Fri BTW) at about 13:38, Jim Dunn said this to All: > I REALLY have a problem with advertisement in the "comp." areas! Just > what are the "biz." areas for if we advertise here!!! Get real. Unless you are shopping for a used car it is worthless in a business sense. What the Ford Simulator is is an excellent program demonstrating graphics and database technology in the sales world. It is a fun program to play with and a tribute to the programmers. AMusing side note: I did indeed send to ford for a copy of their free package a few years ago. Neat, but rather boring, and CGA graphics. Oh well. (why not send a pre-stamped postcard for stuff like that? that's how I get all my spare floppy disks.. :-) A few months ago, ford sent me a letter announcing their 'new' form demo diskette, but this time they wanted $4.95 for the bugger. I wrote them a nasty note that stated I would be more than willing to view a FREE diskette, but that I'm not going to PAY to see a computer demo, when a FREE *real* demo at the dealer would do just as good. Never heard back from them.. :-) ------ Kent C. This is an excelent demo, many people have mailed me nice notes about it, and since the 1987 Ford is hardly likely to be available (new), I don't think there's any commercial implication, other than Ford tried something unusual for a change.
