[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] PCRRN

jbeckley@qualcom.qualcomm.com (Gumby) (08/14/90)

I was told that the PC version of rn (pcrrn) was recently posted to c.b.i.p.,
but it looks like we never received it. I would gladly pay you Tuesday for
a hamburger today. In other words, I'd like to find an anonymous ftp site
that has a copy (with documentation, is that asking the impossible?!?!?).

Thanx in advance,

Jeff Beckley

Does anybody know where I can find the BINARIES and documentation for
pcrrn or other PC newsreaders? I already found the source code at
ames.arc.nasa.gov, but it was without documentation. I also did find
PCNEWS on wuarchive, I think, but it's just a reader. I also have
waffle, but I'm looking into alternate user interfaces (rn-type, maybe
even GNUS-ish). I'm also looking for Unix-like mail front ends for
DOS. They should have the EXACT same functionality, i.e. a
/usr/spool/mail directory that holds users mail, and the program reads
the spool and possibly archives mail in a local directory.

On a similar vein, has anyone tried using EEL (Epilon Extension
Language) to do anything as elaborate as GNUS or Rmail?

Any pointers appretiated...

~~~Steve
Btw, any particular reason that request got posted twice?  Just curious.  :->
