[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] A strange error in RCS on MS-DOS

I have a strange error when I check in ('ci').
The sequence :   ci -u xx
                 rcs -U xx
                 ...
                 co -u xx
                 ....
                 ci -u xx
      Error : "unkown option : -a ,........."
      From this point I can never check in.

Does anyone succeeded in running RCS in MS-DOS ?
