I posted this request before and got a few responses, but the solutions, though greatly appreciated, weren't quite what I needed. I will try to make my problem more clear. What I need is a program that accepts and regulates input from the COM1 or COM2 port and sends this input to LPT port. The program must be able to accept COM port speeds of at least 9600 baud. Also, the program should be able to send XOFF and XON to tell the machine sending to the COM port to stop, so the printer on THIS computer can catch up. In short, I need a spooler. But instead of a file being printed, input from a COM port is. Any suggestions, solutions, ideas, or knowledge of a program that does this would be again GREATLY appreciated. 8^] Also, one the people that sent me code and mentioned a FOSSIL driver. David thank you for your input. Mentioning like this because I can't access UUCP addresses. Mark Stephen Kidder kidderms@expert.cc.purdue.edu

ISTM that the BIOS support for com ports went clear up to [wow] 300 baud. So everyone writes to the hardware addresses themselves. You could jumper the com port in question back in another com port, and write code to grab THAT and send it to a parallel port.... -- A host is a host from coast to coast.....wb8foz@mthvax.cs.miami.edu & no one will talk to a host that's close............(305) 255-RTFM Unless the host (that isn't close)......................pob 570-335 is busy, hung or dead....................................33257-0335
