[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] math processor emulation/matlab

rongchen@alcor.usc.edu (DragonSlayer) (01/08/91)

Can someone tell me where (anonymous ftp site) to find the a math coprocessor
emulation program for IBM 286 clone that can my MATLAB work. I know it's
going to be painfully slow, but before I have the chance to enjoy the
luxury of a real processor, I have to bear with a fake one, that is if
someone here are kind enough to drop me a line on this query. I check
simtel on a couple subdir I thought that is related and end up empty-handed.

Thanx.

Happy New Year, by that way, if it's not too late.

Is there an '87 emulator that will run on an 8088? The only ones I've
seen (from simtel) require at least an 80286.

>SYSUTL,EM87V1_3.a,1,13073,900306,8087 math coprocessor emulator for AT or 386
>SYSUTL,EMUL87.a,1,14655,891204,TSR emulates 8087 math processor (286/386 req)

My dad wants one which will allow him to emulate an 8087 (however slow
this might be) on his 8088 XT. Is this possible?
