Is the Landmark Speed Test Public Domain or Shareware?
If so, could someone please post a later version of the software that
allows it to check the speed of a 386/33? Thanks..

Reason is that I have an AMI "Screamer" 386/33.. and would like to know
how it compares to other 386s (which have landmark readings in their ads)

Also would appreciate a program to edit /resize GIFS.

I use Piclab (available in the appropriate msdos/graphics directory at simtel20
and wuarchive) myself. WARNING: it almost requires a hard disk. It transforms
anyfiles it's working on into a raw format, meaning 3 bytes for each pixel. I
was using a 1 Meg ram disk, but kept running out of space. I suggest at least
1.5-2.0Meg if you have it, or a very good disk cache.

Graphics Work Shop (also available at simtel20 and wuarchive) handles .gif's
also, but I've never used it for resizing, so I don't know how good it is.

Hope this helps.

Neither! It is commercial software, sold only by Landmark Associates of
Sunnyvale California. Each and every copy is registered (but not copy
protected). Every copy bears the name and address of where to write to buy
your own copy. Some stores give a copy away with every system they sell,
but it's not legal.

Posting commercially copyrighted software seems inadvisable.

Beware!! I once heard a computer salesman tell me that they publish
numbers only from the older versions of Landmark because they get bigger
numbers that way. It's best to call the vendor and ask what version
they're using. My 25 Mhz 386 system pushes version 1.07 right to the edge.
