[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] CGA emulation on a MDA

stb@isbank.is (stb) (01/15/91)

The problem:

I designed a self running demo in IBM'S Story teller which uses
  only text (no fancy graphics).

The problem is that Story teller REQUIRES a CGA, EGA or VGA graphic card
to run the demo even if the demo doesn't use graphics :-(.
I would like to be able to run this demo on computers with MDA (no graphics)
  and Hercules.

The questions:

  (1) Is it possible to emulate CGA on MDA systems ?
This emulation would only have to emulate CGA text mode (80x25).

  (2) I have tried some Hercules/CGA emulations but they have been extreamly
slow in CGA text mode. Does anyone know of a Hercules/CGA emulation
which has fast! CGA text mode emulation ?

If you know of any programs which are capable of doing such a thing or
how such a program should work then please let me know.
