I recently ordered some memory from DRAM, Co, & it came in today. I opened up my computer, & it had 4 banks ======1====== ======2====== ======3====== ======4====== & 1 & 2 were filled with 9 x 256 K chips. Well, to my utter annoyance, DRAM only mailed me 16 of the 18 that I needed. Well, I figured, I could just fill up 3, & fill most of 4, and configure my computer to recognize the 768 K that I had .... Well, I have an AT compatible & I don't see any dip switches anywhere. (I do see, however 4 jumpers) & so I ran the setup program & set up as 640K standard memory & 128K extended. it won't accept it. it says memory configuration error... oh well. any responses or suggestions beyond welcome.
