I am looking for any booking system software that will run on a LAN
(specifically Banyan Vines v4.0). The software can be PD, SHAREWARE
or COMMERCIAL.
The software should preferably have the following features :-
i) Abilities -
Add new resources,
Remove old resources,
Able to search for resources by type,
Type of resource, location, special conditions
of use, time booked, by whom, duration of booking,
priority of booking, etc.
Ability to cancel own bookings.
Ability to protect bookings from being cancelled by
other users.
ii) Logging facility, ie who booked what and when.
iii) Multi user (Almost Essential)
iv) If Banyan Vines compatible, should be able to send messages
to users through the Banyan Mail system. E.g if booking is
wanted by other user, or to remind user that they have a
resource booked etc.
v) User Friendly !!! (Almost essential)
vi) Conform to CUA (Common User Access) guidelines (Not essential)
vii) Available in Australia (Not essential)
