[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Extra character transmitted in TeleReplica

I'm trying to install TeleReplica between an IBM model 30 with a Hayes V-
series 9600 baud modem (the host) and an AT with a generic 2400 baud modem.
When I dial up the host, the connection is made properly, and the screen is
updated correctly. The only problem is, when I press a key on the replica
computer an extra character appears on the command line. For example, if I
type "dir", I get "PdPiPrP". The extra character is not always "P", but it
does seem to always be sent after the key is pressed. The only key that does
not have an additional character appended to it is Break (Ctrl-Pause on an
extended keyboard). I've tried changing various configuration paramters,
but nothing has worked so far. Any insights or help would be much appreciated.
