[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] buick demo

saal@floyd.ATT.COM (Sam Saal,1A-110,6956,Cap Gemini) (01/29/91)

I downloaded the Buick demo and uudecoded it successfully, but ZOO said
I had a bad CRC. 18 parts and I can't figure out which one was bad.
Does anyone know which .UUE section is bad? Can someone _email_ me the
correct file?

advTHANKSance.

I downloaded all parts w/o any error. I'm afraid that the error is on your
end. (don't work too hard on it unless you are really into Buicks)

I didn't see the original post. Was the poster complaining that he
couldn't get it to run? I was able to download it, uudecode it and
unpack it fine, but ocassionally it will lock up on me. Screen, keyboard,
everything. The only thing I can do is reboot. I don't think it is a
problem with the download file, but with the original program (or whatever
someone did to it).

That's why there's a briksum on the front of every file, so people can
check them *before* they try to unpack them, and so you can tell which
one is bad.

It really bothers me that no one reads the informational posting I put
out. Maybe I could use the bandwidth for posting binaries...
