[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] g++ for DOS

davidsen@crdos1.crd.ge.COM (Wm E Davidsen Jr) (02/08/91)

  Finally, a good working version of g++ for DOS. The good news is that
I had it all packed up ready to post. The bad news is there was a bug
fix release, and I'm repacking it all over again.

NOTE: this version works with the (MS-DOS) ramdrive.sys, but not the
(PC-DOS) vdisk.sys. You may need to get a copy, although I bet someone
could write a version in C++. Anyone need a short paper on "object
oriented hardware emulation" right now?

  Look for the posting to start over the weekend. Because of the length
I'm going to post other stuff every day, too, so we don't dedicate the
group to this one program, which may not be useful to people who don't
have a 386 or don't use C++.

  Interesting thought: the street price of the high priced C compiler is
higher than the price of an SX board. If I had a 286 and needed C, I
know which way I'd go!
