[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] X11 bitmap editor for PC?

cyj9h@kelvin.seas.Virginia.EDU (che' m.c.) (02/12/91)

Does anybody out there know of an PC bitmap editor that is
functionally identical to the bitmap program on X11? I bascially need
an editor that can spit out C program fragments for use in another
program.

Thanks!

You can do it with my Painter's Apprentice program. As of the first of
this year, it's no longer shareware. I haven't done a release yet, but
it'll be RSN. It edits bitmaps (B/W, no color) in MacPaint format, PCX
format, and yes, X11 format.

When it's ready (should be no longer than a couple of weeks -- I just today
got out the 8.x packet drivers), I'll announce it to this list.
