While sorting through years of accumulated files, I decided it would be
A Good Thing to store all the CBIP postings together, on their own set of
disks. I started with volume 0 which, of course, was a mistake. So I went
ahead to volumes 1 and 2. I had most of the files already, and figured I
could find what I didn't have at any of the CBIP archives. Guess what? I
had to check five different sites while looking for everything I was missing.
I checked (in this order): wuarchive.wustl.edu
grape.ecs.clarkson.edu
slug.pws.bull.com (connection timed out)
hydra.helsinki.fi
irisa.irisa.fr
tau.sm.luth.se
Well, I eventually found everything, EXCEPT v02i100 (master.arc, the game
of Mastermind.) Now, this isn't really a complaint. I realize that the
people who run these archives do it as a public service, without any
remuneration, and that I should be happy to get anything at all. Well, I
certainly thank them, since I did find most of what I was looking for.
What I'd like to know is, are there any other sites with more complete
archives? Will I have to get UUPC to connect to them? And who has v02i100?

PS> If anyone's missing anything from volumes 1 or 2 which they need, and
can't get since they don't have FTP (excepting v02i100, of course,)
I'd be happy to mail it to you. Assuming I don't get swamped, which
I think I won't since those are pretty old volumes...
