[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] 386 port of gcc/g++

ahuang@faraday.ece.cmu.edu (Andrew Sao-Chun Huang) (02/22/91)

I have a question and a request concerning the g++ port to 386/486.

1.   Can somebody please e-mail me parts 1-4 ?  I guess I started
     downloading them too late. They are no longer available from
     my site.

2. My question is concerning how much memory g++ allows programs
     to use. In other words, can I write a program that uses 2
     megabytes of data memory if I have enough RAM installed?
     What is the major difference between g++ and a 16-bit compiler
     such as TC++? (Other than that the latter is commercial.)

I'd appreciate responses through e-mail or posts to the newsgroup.
