[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Starter Kit

root@bcstarc.stgt.sub.org (Frank Pecher) (02/25/91)

Hi folks,

I receive c.b.i.p for about 4 weeks now, and got the starter kit for the
third time now. Is this normal? It seems to me like wasting bandwidth when
each submitted program is interleaved by this starter kit.

This is NO flame! I was just wondering because nearly every sysop in
Germany gets p*ssed when he comes to know of redundancies like this.

Curious,

The current posting schedule is the 1st 10th and 20th of the month
(and two copies went out one time this month due to problems here). This
is an attempt to keep a copy on machines which have a short expire, and
therefore reduce my mail. In spite of this I get 3-5 letters a week
asking how to use the postings.

I'm open to suggestions on this, but if I do it on demand they'll go
out a few times a week, and if I send them by mail the volume in this
group will go down a bunch, since there's only so much bandwidth out of
this machine.
