The best book I have found so far explaining bar codes is READING BETWEEN THE LINES by Harmon and Adams Helmers Publishing Phone: 603-924-9631 I am not sure what platform you are writing for but for the PC environment LABLEMASTER @ computer connection Phone: 800-552-2331 This is a C lincable program which for some extra money will supply you with the source. This might allow you to use it on different platforms. By the way this program is used to print out most of the bar code lables including 3of9, UPC, zip +4, and many others. Hope this helps.
