Okay, who remembers the very short-lived TV series "Quark," created by Buck Henry? And can anyone fill in the blanks in this cast list: Richard Benjamin as Captain ? Quark Conrad Janis as The Head Richard Kelton as Fica, the Vegeton < nice parody of Spock Tim Matheson as ?/? (the hermaphrodite) ? and ? Barnstable as ??? (the clone-twins) What was the name of the garbage scow that Quark commanded, and can you remember the plot of any of the episodes? -- Stewart Wiener :-) "Avast, ye scurvy corporate Princeton Univ. EECS :-) swabs! Prepare to be boarded!" princeton!tilt!smw :-) --Oliver Wendell Jones

I remember one 2001-like plot in Quark in which a new computer threw Richard Benjamin off the ship.

Regarding the Barnstable Twins, one was a clone of the other, and they were called in the show "The Bettys" (plural of Betty). They spoke in unison. Gil Bristol hou2h!bristol P.S. Isn't this enlightening?

I know the clone-twins were Betty and Betty, and the hermaphrodite was Gene/Jean (or at least it was pronounced like that). The only episode I've ever seen is "Goodbye Polumbus", where they go to this planet no one has ever returned from (until this time, of course).

<Don't eat me!> The Barnstable twins names are: Trish and Cyb (or Sib, or some variation thereof). Ficus' full name was Ficus Panderota. I was in high school at the time, and made of audio tapes of several episodes. I may even have a couple left, I will look for them. -- From the virtual mind of Allyn Fratkin sdcsvax!allyn@Nosc UCSD Pascal Project {ucbvax, decvax, ihnp4} U.C. San Diego !sdcsvax!allyn

<> All you poor people ! I have just come over from Australia, where NOT SIX MONTHS AGO, I watched a whole series of "QUARK". It was fascinating, but it's unfair for me to fill space with details, since it's only short-term memory for me !! Nigel Sharp (I'm really English!) kpno!sharp
