Recently, I asked for mirror sites of simtel. Here is a summary of replies which proved fruitful. Hope it helps! -Jody. ======================================================================== If you can, telnet to quiche.cs.mcgill.ca and login as 'archie' and issue the command 'prog simtel' I used that command to produce an output file of several sites that appear to be simtel mirrors, but I haven't had a chance to check them out yet. In the same spirit, I have some findings to report: I carried out the suggested search on archie, and then explored the matching sites. isca01.icaen.uiowa.edu seems to have a full mirror of the simtel msdos collection below the directory /simtel.msdos. None of the others has a full mirror, but milton.u.washington.edu, mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu and grape.ecs.clarkson.edu each have selected files, in each place in a single flat directory. ======================================================================== Here's a couple good ones: garbo.uwasa.fi in Finland sol.deakin.oz.au in Australia Try them out, ======================================================================== I only know of one - an aussie site: sol.deakin.oz.au (128.184.1.1).
