I am reminded of a conversation Wittgenstein is said to have had with a
colleague in the corridor:
W: Why do we assume that it's natural for people to believe that the
sun goes round the Earth ?
C: Well.... because it looks as though the sun goes round the Earth.
W: But, what would it look like if it looked as though the Earth goes
round the sun ?
[Of course, you have to remember that a typical Wittgenstein question is
`Is the rhinoceros that's not in your corner the same as the rhinoceros
that's not in my corner ?]
