[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] v11i031: qc42, disk caching program

I have a question regarding this product: What happens if a crash occurs on
the PC before the cache has been saved to disk? I assume that it's gone.
IMHO, this is a major drawback of software caching products. I'd feel a
bit better about hardware (controller) caching, since the cache can be
retained by an on-board battery, and if the controller is smart enough,
it will write the cache to disk before rebooting the system.
