To get old postings from sixhub, send mail to archive-server@sixhub.uucp with a subject which looks like this: send cbip/FILE to user@node.domain Example: send cbip/v06i721 to jowsmith@maggot.unyuug.org send cbip/v05i404 to root@mysite.uucp If you are a site appearing in the uucp maps, then site.uucp is valid. Bang paths are not valid. If you send some address with fancy stuff in it, colons, percents, or exclamations, the request will go in the "can't read" file. The volume and issue number appears on every posting, and in the index posted every now and again. It will be of the form v##i###, and that's the filename you request. Of course you will not be notified if your address is in any other format... think about it, if I could send a notification I could send the file you wanted. For now the files will be in shar format (the archive server uses that for everything else). As soon as I get time I will teach it to send those files as is. -- bill davidsen - davidsen@sixhub.uucp (uunet!crdgw1!sixhub!davidsen) sysop *IX BBS and Public Access UNIX moderator of comp.binaries.ibm.pc and 80386 mailing list "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
