A few months ago I picked up an EGA board for $25 at a flea market. It had the documentation. After that two people moved out of my house in the same weekend, and I'm afraid the documentation was lost in the confusion. On the Board: Max Logic MX656 PWA-385 REV C If anyone has docs for such a board I'd gladly pay you for the trouble of copying them and sending them to me. QUESTIONS FOR EXPERTS: A friend of mine has a multi-frequency monitor. If I talk him into lending it to me so I can experiment with the jumpers and switches on the board, is there *any* chance I could damage the monitor? I know I could damage my ancient CGA monitor. Can the BIOS tell if there is a monitor connected to the board? My thought here is to use an oscilloscope at the board output to find high frequency sync settings and put them on a "Bad List" for my CGA monitor, then look for a compatible setting out of what's left.
