Can't give you to much help on the theme song besides "Watch out for that tree!!" I do remember that the other segment of the show was TOM SLICK. veroom... vervoom..

A question that has been bothering me for some time is the name of the gorilla in the George of the Jungle cartoon. Can anyone help me out??

surely you remember the verse of his classic theme song: "And when he gets in a scrape He makes his escape With the help of an ape An ape named "Ape" " Ape talked with a refined British accent. George also had an elephant named "Shep" which he thought was a lap dog.

George of the Jungle was done by the same folks that did "Bulwinkle"
Sone of the jokes were even the same. Think: Dudley Doright and Nell
were the same voices as Tom Slick and Marigold. They even cracked
a joke about it once "Oops, wrong cartoon"
