Is there anybody who knows from where we could get a backscroll utility for IBM compatible PC's, equipped with a VGA or EGA-card? Dieter

Perhaps more easily obtained would be the PC Magazine utility "SMOOTH". It was featured as the utility in an issue of the magazine, but I don't have my indices handy and so I can't point you to the exact issue. I'll check to see if I can find the reference and post it if I am successful. In any event, the PC Magazine software is stored at simtel and wuarchive (among other places), and the published software associated with each issue is available for issues dating back seven or eight years. SMOOTH is a general utility for viewing text files. It provides smooth scrolling in the forward or backward direction at variable speeds. Hope this helps. /Jerry -- Jerry Crow {ames!ncar!noao!asuvax, mcdphx}!anasaz!crow Anasazi, Inc. anasaz!crow@asuvax.eas.asu.edu Phoenix, AZ, USA Disclaimer: <standard> (No quotation -- yet)
