I have uploaded to SIMTEL20: pd1:<msdos.modem> ESPDISK.ZIP High speed 16550a serial driver for WIN3 & OS2 ESPDISK contains Windows 3.0 and OS/2 high speed drivers, from HAYES, with 16550a support. Install in SYSTEM.INI and windows\system directory. Downloaded from the HAYES 800# BBS. Maurice Thaler thaler@cs.wisc.edu

If anyone that has installed this driver, and does NOT have the Hayes serial board has actually gotten the FIFO buffer to work under Win3.0 I would love to hear the details on how you got it to work. I have an Everex board with the 16550 installed and it was a big improvement under DOS but high speed transfers are stil a fiasco under Win3.0 (-: ??????
