[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Disk Backup file formats

mamos@uafhp.uark.edu (Mark _E_ Amos) (04/21/91)

This is a duplicate posting - sorry I goofed.

Anyway, the problem is, I have a file I believe to be a disk backup archive
file, but not what program created it. The extension is .TD0 and the first
part of the file is TD. Any help identifying the program used to create it
(and subsequently extract it) would be GREATLY appreciated.

  Thanks

Sounds like a Teledisk file to me. I have no idea which archive may contain
a version, but it is shareware (if you like it, you're expected to pay a fee
for its usage). The current version of Teledisk I have seen floating around
is V2.12. Archive files created with Teledisk must be unarchived with a
version number greater than or equal to the version used to create the
archive in the first place...

Sounds like a the files that Sydex' TeleDisk creates. TeleDisk is shareware
and is found on many PC oriented BBS. It is also on SIMTEL20.
