[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] pkzip

pottera@cs.glasgow.ac.uk (Alan T Potter) (02/28/89)

With all this discussion of the relative merits of ZOO, PKZIP, etc,
it would be interesting to have copies of them both to compare at home. I
can get ZOO over here, but PKZIP doesn't seem to have got over here yet.

Will it be appearing on c.b.i.p. soon?

	regards,
	Alan T Potter

PKZIP currently stands at version 0.90. While it has been publicly released,
it's still in a preliminary state (missing features, suffering obscure bugs,
etc.), so it probably would not be a good idea to post it until it gets to
version 1.00 at least.

I know pkzip is out there for DOS, but is there a copy yet for UNIX? I have
been outta touch with the net for about 3 months now, so sorry if this
is old news, or outta place..
