[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] A 16550 driver for windows3 ?

otto@tukki.jyu.fi (Otto J. Makela) (04/30/91)

Am I imagining things, or did someone report getting a 16550 driver for
windows3 from a company BBS (I *think* it was Hayes) ? I went through our
news spool with a fine-toothed comb, but couldn't find it. Was it just a
dream ? Do *not* email me asking for info, I'll followup as soon as I know.

I think you mean the following which recently appeared on SIMTEL20:

<MSDOS.MODEM> ESPDISK.ZIP 72098 17.04.91
        High speed 16550a serial driver for WIN3 & OS/2

Any one try this? I fired the install program up and came to the
distinct conclusion that this is strictly for the Hayes ESP serial card!

Please correct me if I am wrong.
