To all the people who pull binaries off of comp.binaries.ibm.pc: It has been brought to my attention that my trademarking of uucat was wrong. A Mr. Stefen Parmark had already written an utility by this name that apparently has the same functionality. At the time I wrote my utility, I was unaware of Mr. Parmark's program. All the code I wrote is original, but I guess the concept was already being used. I must admitt that I was aware of the UNIX(tm) program uunconc, but I did not utilize any of it's code in my program. I had just put together DDJ's GNU C, for DOS, manually, and found an error related to constructing it. Everyone should understand why I didn't want to go through the process of editing 36 files again. So, I wrote uucat for myself. It was desgined specifically to handle files uuencoded for c.b.i.p. Anyway, I appologize to Stefan Parmark if I have caused any inconvience. I also retract the trademarking of the name uucat for my utility, but I am keeping all of my rights as explained in my documentation of my code. 04/03/91 Tom Haynes Representing myself, and only myself. ----- "Peace, Love and Understanding" -- to paraphrase Elvis Costello Tom Haynes or more commonly => tdh@DRD.COM DRD Corporation (918)660-3212
