Hi there. As you might gather, I could not extract this. nethack.exe appears to be corrupted. Has anyone else had this problem? If there is a good version out there, where can I pick it up. We can ftp anywhere but of course in Australia is far, far preferable! chuck -- Fox Hunting: the pursuit of the inedible by the unspeakable. More specifically, I am missing parts 7 and 8 of the first disk and parts 1-4 of the second. My newsreader (nn) managed to construct a single zoo archive out of all the rest and this behaviour was so devious that I have only just spotted it, and changed to trn! Don't know of any in Australia, but if you want to try from the us you can ftp from linc.cis.upenn.edu [130.91.6.8] from the /pub/NH3.0/PC directory. Mind you, all of this is spelled out in the beginning of the first posting. An then in <71133@yarra.pyramid.com.au> he adds: {C} More specifically, I am missing parts 7 and 8 of the first disk and parts {C} 1-4 of the second. Not that I really have any trouble getting this binary (;-), but I though that I might add that my site suffers the same plight. I still use nn though :-). Perhaps the net burped on the middle posting, and many users are missing these parts? - Norm. -- |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Norman J. We did not get parts 7 and 8 of the first disk, and parts 1-3 (not 1-4) of the second. Our feed is normally very reliable. We did have some serious hardware problems on Tue. 14 May, 1991. Lightning will do that. I would appreciate some kind person sending me the missing parts. Thanks! Kipp Kreft kipp@gistdev.gist.com Look Ma, no sig!

Can someone please mail of copy of these to me as well. There might be a small problem. We can only receive files smaller than 100K so they might have to be cut in pieces first. Thanks. This seems to be a pretty widespread omission. Please repost. (Yes, I'm aware that this is probably available by ftp in Finland or somewhere, but that's of no use to me.) Rick
