I extracted YODADEMO from two seperate newsreaders (just to make sure) and found it to be true in both: Zoo: cga.bgi -- extracted Zoo: dip.col -- extracted Zoo: dip.fmf -- extracted Zoo: dip.hlp -- extracted Zoo: dip.imf -- extracted Zoo: dip.mes -- extracted Zoo: dip.mnu -- extracted Zoo: dip.mov -- extracted Zoo: egavga.bgi -- extracted Zoo: far.mov -- extracted Zoo: herc.bgi -- extracted Zoo: litt.chr -- extracted Zoo: movconv.exe -- extracted Zoo: near.mov -- extracted Zoo: poynting.mov -- extracted Zoo: WARNING: Bad CRC, poynting.mov probably corrupted Zoo: rotated.mov -- extracted Zoo: sans.chr -- extracted Zoo: trip.chr -- extracted Zoo: yoda.txt -- extracted Zoo: yodademo.exe -- extracted Zoo: yodademo.txt -- extracted Zoo: WARNING: 1 File(s) with bad CRC. Both times the uudecoded without a burp. I didn't try "brik" or whatever on any of them (FYI). The first time I uudecoded (from the first reader) it just looped forever on yodademo.exe. That was why I tried another before running... This is the output from the second time. Carl Schelin tcs@mailer.jhuapl.edu

Using the LOOZ extractor on Yodademo, as presented on c.b.i.p., I got CRC errors on: CGA.BGI NEAR.MOV POYNTING.MOV ------- THOMAS K. PETERSON 3 TATHUM TRACE GANSEVOORT, NY 12831 HOME: (518) 695-3659 WORK: (518) 387-6426 BITNET: PETERSO@GECRDVM1

I have similar problems. I get invalid directory archives and sometimes bad CRC errors. I've tried putting it together 6 times already, and none have worked. -- =============================================================================== Marcell Stoer Internet : mstoer@sol.uvic.ca Department of Chemistry Molecular Beam Laser Spectrometry Laboratory Voice : (604) 721-8975

For the YodaDemo problem, you can solve it by getting UU-DECODE 4.13 by Richard Marks. I don't remember were I got this but maybe someone else does. I had similar problems with the UUDECODE in the IBM-Toolkit so I changed to this one. It seems that the Toolkit version does not handle large files. But I have never had any problems with the one from Richard Marks. It is also very close to my unix version. Hope this help those you..... Will.....
