[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Questions

I have a couple question for the "experts" out there:

After reading reviews about the AT Clones running the 80286
and the ones running 80386, I decided on an affordable computer
that is truly state of the art. Since I am in no way affiliated with
any company takes this informtion as a lesson. I just bought
a 386 from Rose Hill Systems (1-800-248-7673) running with the
following set-up:
An Intel 80386-20 (20 Megaherz), 1MB RAM, 200 Watt Power Supply,
2 full 8-bit slots, 5 full 16-bit slots, and one full 32 bit slot,
101 key keyboard, 1.2MB 5.25" Fugitsu drive with 8 bit card,
65 Meg Hard Drive with RLL card (1:1 interleave from MicroScience),
one parallel and 2 serial 9-pin ports from Everex, EGA monitor with
compatible card (12"), and space for 2 more 1/2 height drives.
The total price was $2710 plus $60 shipping UPS = $2770. They
have been in business 3 years and reviewed in PC Resource May 1989.

I am confused. Does MicroSoft Windows 386 need 2 MEG RAM?
How can I use ram above 640K efficiently for program handlers etc?
Has anyone bought a computer from Rose Hill?? What do they think
about it? Is the price I'm being charged worth it? What programs
are there which take advantage of the 80386 besides windows 386?
Are there any BBS programs out there (where can they be reached,g3
and the prices)?

	Thanks.

Hello All,

Two questions...

	1) Is there a mail server I can use to get stuff originally
posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc ? If so, please send me the
	   email address.

	2) Is there a version of the shell (originally on the Atari ST)
called Gulam, available for the PC ?

Many Thanks,

Mike
