[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] mail servers

ecr@cipric.mn.org (Edward C. Regal) (02/17/91)

The discussion on how to handle items from various ftp sites is
always interesting, but unfortunately our site doesn't seem to be able
to do remote ftp. I have also tried several time to get information from
vm1.NoDak.edu but all I get is rejected mail messages and notes from
the postmaster that my tries could not be delivered.

Could someone be kind enough to post how to get information from this site
or at least email me and let me know what the proper language is to talk
to this system?

Thanks in advance.

Ed

I repeat my offer, frequently posted in this forum; Send e-mail to
my SIMTEL20 address below and I will tell you the proper path to use
to access the mail servers. I need to receive a message from you in
order to see what path it took to get to me, and to see if your mailer
might be munging the headers.

Are there any servers in the midwest which can provide the files
offered by SIMTEL? I'm looking for locations closer than North Dakota
or Renselaer Polytechnic. Thanks.
