I'm looking for a floppy/hard disk cataloging program. I had a look
through Simtel's directory and found quite a few. What I would like
are your opinions on which of these programs are good. I just don't
have the time to download and try all of them. I usually run under
Desqview 386 so compatibility with DV would be preferred.
Basically what I'm looking is something that'll allow me to look up
a catalog of my files and direct me to the floppy it's on, good
execution speed and preferably small size of its database files.
If such a program for Windows 3 exists, I'll be interested too.
Thanks...

I looked at a few of these programs and was most pleased with CATDISK. It is reasonably fast, easy to use, and will optionally show the contents of an archive. It knows about ARC, ZIP, ZOO, PAK, and LZH files, as I recall. It also allows you to comment each file in the catalogue. -- --Jeff Hartung-- Disclaimer: My opinions only, etc., etc., BLAH! BLAH!
