Okay, for all of us who DON'T have ftp capability, howzabout
a summary of those sites available via listservers? Anyone?

A listing of sites with publicly-available uucp connections and of regular bbs-s
likely to be of more-than-average interest to usenetters would be interesting
too.  As I've said elsewhere, long distance charges aren't such a big deal;
internet hookups and subscription fees are. And site administrators going nuts
trying to deal with the mail volume generated by mail-based servers are
starting to fight back (not to mention that if you can fetch it directly, you
get it a day or 2 sooner).

Each month I upload Darwin's latest list of MS-DOS BBS's. There are
literally hundreds of systems in all parts of the USA which offer
many of the same files that are available on SIMTEL20, wuarchive, and
garbo.
