I have just upgraded from MS-DOS 3.3 to 4.01 and, much to my dismay, I have found that the uudecode I got from cbip doesn't work any more. The zoo files that are created have invalid headers and the zips result in the message "No files found." Is there a bug (or a "feature") in 4.01 that would cause this behavior? Has anyone else experienced similar difficulties? I have no problem booting with 3.3 and (after copying the files to a drive with a < 32meg partition so that 3.3 will find it) uudecoding them that way, but this is a hassle. If this is a bug, I hope it will be fixed in 5.0. If this is a bug, I hope it will be fixed in 5.0. Yesterday I made a download of Starter Kit 1.5 and it works well on my system (386 with AMI-BIOS, MSDOS4.01, 2x105 RRL-HD). Try it and than change your CONFIG.SYS. Try it without QEMM. I had only problems with it. Andrej Cibula <cibu@pbinfo.uni-paderborn.de> University Paderborn United Germany
