[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] MSC library & TC++/BC++

n.margetic@ioe.lon.ac.uk (Nino Margetic) (06/19/91)

Hi,

Since I got quite a few requests for the summary of the responses on
my initial question whether MSC generated library works with Borland
compilers, I will post a summary when I collect all the relevant info.
For the time being, let me just state that although the future seems
to be a bit gloomy, there just might be a way out of the problem -
namely, I got 2 responses, both saying that it just might be possible
to do it providing one uses BC++, and not TC++. Apparently, there is a
switch/define/variable called __MSC wich is supposed to do something.
Since I haven't got BC++ (yet :-), I can't check it out myself. There
seems to be something about it in the Getting started BC++ Manual
(pp45 and on). Can someone confirm that this really works??
As I said above, the full summary of all responses will follow - this
is still work in progress :-)

PS Many thanks to all the people who responded to my original
question.
