Hope this is the correct group, if not please FLAME. Has anyone out there tried to connect a PC to the computer in his car and get the standard readout from them. It seems to he that if that was possible, one could detect various problems before they start spreading. I think it is to much to pay $35 just to get some guy to hook his 'special computer' to my car's computer. Does anyone know if the interface to these car computers is a closely guarded secret of the automakers or if it is readily available (if I wanted to look into it). Brynjolfur.
