If anyone knows how to get the error messages for this program to appear
on the screen in English, I would appreciate a note or a post, since
"Ich nicht sprechen Duetsch." (I rtfm'd and an still clueless.)

I think there were two versions of that FDFORMAT.EXE. The first (?)
one is English and the second (?) is German. At least in that package
I got from nic.funet.fi.

Have you tried reading README.1ST?

I seem to have problems running FDFORMAT 1.7.
It crashes right after the copyright header has been printed to the screen.
The last version (1.6) worked all right on my computer (NEAT-286 with AMI-Bios
Plus).
Any clues??

Later, Ralf

Apparently you missed the announcement. FDFORM 1.7 has been withdrawn
by the author. It was an unauthorized distribution by one of his Beta
testers. FDFORM 1.8 will be released in about a week. Until then,
the author says to use version 1.6a (which is no longer on SIMTEL20
because I deleted it when 1.7 arrived).

For those people who can't wait a week (don't ask why) where can we
still get 16.a?
