[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Seeking login program for MS-DOS 4.0 and 386 system

Excuse me if this is a FAQ.  I'm new to IBM and MS-DOS related newsgroups.  I
have read the FAQ posting but to no avail.

Is there a login program for a 386 machine running MS-DOS 4.0?  I thought about
setting up the boot process to boot from the C: drive before any others then
running a login program that I remember existing sometime ago.  BUT, the setup
program doesn't have the option of specifying the bootup order.  What do I do?
