Does anyone know of a utility to get an IBM PC to read a 5.25" disk that was created on an Apple //+ (AKA the dinosaur). I have a bunch of ASCII files (my Masters thesis) that I would like to transfer. I believe the disk was formatted under Apple DOS 3.? (not Prodos). I've looked at WUARCHIVES SIMTEL Mirror msdos.dskutl directory and could not find anything. I also tried to find someone with a modem on an Apple to no avail (lots of people with Macs, but when I mention Apple // they kind of get this glazed look and start snickering). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ;-) -- _______________________________________________________________________ | Eric R. Hugo email: Hugo.1@osu.edu | | Dept. Okay, I'm at my first news-usage. Forgive my errors.... I've an old AppleIIe, and I transfer my files with a silly tecnique. I wrote an ASM .COM to get data from a 600-baud stupid phone-manager in my college, (only ground and data wire, no control). with few changes I could transmit with my Apple Super Serial Card (RS232, more or less). If it is enough I can mail my cable pinout and my programs at the end of next week (I must go home and take the stuff at the college, adding a little docs, ...). Perhaps you need more, but I've only that. Email: rubini@ipvvis.unipv.it
