Subject: Need some info about general principles of simulation
Date: 1 Jul 88 23:04:48 GMT

I would like to get some pointers about general principles of simulation
such as:

Tick-based vs. event-based simulation (pros and cons)
Object-oriented simulation
Simulation of combat (especially between large units like divisions)

I've implemented several simulations in Lisp but am not well read in the
simulation literature. A general discussion of the above topics would be
useful. Pointers to articles and books would also be appreciated.
