Subject: Professional Organizations, Technical Publications and Annual Conf.
[[We thank Steve for his resourceful work that he has done with regards
to this special issue!! This list will be very useful to all readers,
especially those just starting out in simulation -PF]]
As some of you know, I am in the process of collecting information on
professional organizations, technical publications and annual conferences
for computer simulation. My findings, to date, are included below.
This list still needs work. Any corrections or additional leads you can
provide will be greatly appreciated. In the future I plan to submit
a more comprehensive and condensed version of this list.
My thanks go out to the following people for supplying me with some of
their time, effort and knowledge without which, I would not have come quite
as far.
o Paul Fishwick for lots of leads.
o Michael J. Chinni for information on the SCS.
o GR383 (you know who you are) for information on the Systems Dynamics Society
FYI, the following items are at the top of my mystery list:
o Association for Business Simulation and Experimental Learning
o The Computer Measurement Group
o The Institute of Management Sciences: College on Simulation
o International Simulation and Gaming Association
Publication: Simulation and Games
o North American Simulation and Gaming Association
o Operations Research Society of America (ORSA)
Publication: ORSA Journal
Additional: ORSA TIMS?
Sincerely,
Steve Glicker
