I can't believe that Chuck Berry's biggest hit was My Ding-A-Ling, but that's what Trivial Pursuit says. Please, out there, tell me it isn't so!!! ...bob garmise...at&t bell labs, columbus...

[ ribit (I'm a bug-eater) ] Well. . .let's see here. According to my references (I'm only doing a superficial scan) "My Ding-a-Ling" was the only Chuck Berry song to hit #1 on Billboard's charts. His first hit, "Maybelline", peaked at #5; "School Day", at #3; "Rock & Roll Music", at #8; "Sweet Little Sixteen", at #2; and "Johnny B. Goode", at #8. It was his first million-seller (and possibly only??). It was also the second most requested song on the oldies station in Chicago (Magic104). Pretty disgusting, isn`t it? I can`t even stand to hear the 'song'. Marguerite (*not* Allen!) ...!ihnp4!iwpbd!maggie2
