The simulation would have to produce data that could be used in place of an actual crash. Any help would be greatly appreciated. --Maurice ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Dec 90 12:03:31 CST From: "Centro de Inteligencia Artificial(ITESM)" <ISAI@TECMTYVM.MTY.ITESM.MX> Subject: CALL FOR PAPERS To: fj-ai%etl.go.jp@relay.cs.net, ga-list@aic.nrl.navy.mil, fox@vtopus.cs.vt.edu, lantra-l%finhutc.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu, nl-kr@cs.rochester.edu, nnsc@nnsc.nsf.net, simulation@ufl.edu, simulator-users@cs.rochester.edu, lseward@RAND.ORG INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS IN INFORMATICS: Software Engineering, Data Base Systems, Computer Networks, Programming Environments, Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems. I have started a new column in the journal SIMULATION which is published by the Society for Computer Simulation (SCS). The column is called "Simulation Network News" (almost like CNN :-) and it features several e-mail conversations that are focused on one specific topic discussed in Simulation Digest (this electronic publication). In the January 1991 issue of SIMULATION, there will be a discussion of "Virtual Reality" by six participants who have published their thoughts several months ago on this Digest: Peter Leaback, IBM Corporation Paul Fishwick, U. of Florida Richard Nance, Virginia Tech Steve Glicker, U. of Texas, Austin Ethan Scarl, Boeing Computer Services Mike Kelleher, Indiana University Every column will focus on a new subject within the field of computer simulation, and ALL material for the column is taken directly from this Digest. Authors of e-mail are asked first if they will give their permission prior to publication of their e-mail in SIMULATION. Some columns, if there are many good conversations, may have more than one part, and so will span more than one SIMULATION issue. E-mail will be edited for style when necessary, however content changes by authors are not permitted once it has appeared within the Digest. READERS - Continue reading and contributing as you have always done!! Perhaps, this will serve as an extra incentive to strike up some critical discussions on simulation-related topics. -paul f. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Prof. Paul A.
