For more info on SimEarth, inquire in any of the comp.games type newsgroups
or especially the mac games newsgroup. I have it for the IBM... 'tis more
complex than simcity definitely... Dont know how accurate... fun thing I
found was "rewinding" the tectonic? plates.... seeing what the earth used
to look like.

In SIMULATION DIGEST V19 N10 :

Jocelyn Paine asks about a game called Robot Wars:
I played this game on the Apple II computers in 1981. Since
that time, another company, Origin Systems, has expanded on the concept,
with the new version using programmable "cybertanks" (as opposed to the
original robots), in a game called "Omega" (Not to be confused with the
public domain game of the same name available over the networks). It
appears to be very popular, with programmed cybertank contests being
advertised in Computer Gaming World.

In the same issue, David L. Vessell asks about SimEarth:
This software was reviewed in one of the more recent Computer
Gaming World magazines, and my impression was that it was commercially
available at the time. Unfortunately, I don't have these magazines with
me, or I would give you more details.

Hope this helps...
