[comp.mail.sendmail] Can't get sunos4.0 to use uucp instead of ether

aad@stpstn.UUCP (Anthony A. Datri) (09/12/88)

I'm trying to get a uucp link to work on a a sun 3 running 4.0 (beaker),
before I install smail. uucp itself seems to work, and mail sent
from the other machine arrives fine (stpstn, runs 3.2), but when I
try to send mail from the 4.0 machine to the 3.2 machine, sendmail
keeps trying to send the mail through the ether mailer. I've
got a CV entry in sendmail.cf on the 4.0 machine, but it seems to
ignore it. When I try to send mail from beaker to stpstn!user,
it doesn't recognize it as destined for the uucp link, and tries
sending it to mailhost. I've got "CV stpstn" and "DMsmartuucp"

Any ideas how I can get sendmail to recognize that stpstn!foo should
be sent over the uucp connection?
